N.G.O is defined as Non Government Organization. NGOs in India are registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, which is a central Act. According to Section 21 of the Act, the following societies can be registered as charitable societies, military orphan funds or societies, societies established for the promotion of science, literature, or the fine arts, for instruction, the diffusion of useful knowledge, the diffusion of political education, the foundation or maintenance of libraries or reading rooms for general use among the members or open to the public, or public museums and galleries of paintings and other works of art, collection of natural history, mechanical and philosophical inventions, instruments or designs.
Today there is a lot of opportunity to do a lot of work in Non-Government sector. For this, the basic need is to register an NGO. NGO can be register as Society under Society registration Act. 1860, Trust under Trust registration Act. 1882 and Company under companies registration Act. 1956.
Objectives

Registration of Society can be done for different purposes or Objectives like – Religious Society, Educational Society, Housing Society, Resident Welfare Society, Institute / School/ College registration, Public Charitable Society, Women Welfare Society, Child Welfare Society, Orphanage Society, Old Age Home society, to save Society, Nature, Environment, Art and Culture , donation, stipends, scholarship and other allowances to deserving and needy student for promotion and encouragement of all type of education and More.
Members are required to make N.G.O (Society)
Minimum seven members
Name and Designation in Governing Body
President (अध्यक्ष)
Secretary (सचिव)
Treasurer (कोषाध्यक्ष)
Members (सदस्य)
Title name for NGO
Society, Association, Club, Samiti, Foundation etc.
Note : Blood relation can be associated as members now. One female member is required entire all members.
Service Charge for NGO Registration
Service charge will be as per state and type of registration.
Papers Formalities are required to make NGO
ID proof of every members of N.G.O is required
Address Proof of OFFICE BEARERS (President, Secretary & Treasurer)
Six-passport size photograph of all managing committee.
Address proof & photo of society where registered office is established.
